I hope deleting my question made you feel like you are somebody now. I asked it for a reason, here it is again...?

Complications while a friend was giving birth resulted in her heart stopping for about 2 minutes. The baby has brain damage from it and has seizures. Made me wonder, in the unfortunate event that a pregnant woman dies (like obviously dead, no question about it) is it worthwhile to try to extract the baby in a timely manner? To save a life?

Obviously he meant reported. As the usual smart asses on yahoo read things literally like very simple minded sheep.
Yes lvl 7 users arrogantly move questions too.
Well Peter, I mean what do you think? Are you seriously asking this? Or have no compassion?
Obvious the baby deserves to live and still can even without its mom.
Thats why I am against hunting. Many deer are killed while pregnant.

Is it "worthwhile"? Of course.

1. NO ONE has the power to delete questions other than Yahoo itself.

2. That wouldn't happen. 2 minutes is nothing in the grand scheme of things. The baby would still be fine.

3. It depends on the amount of time the mother is dead and how fast they can get the baby out. Serious brain injuries happen after 20-30 minutes with no heart beat...to mom AND baby. If mom is already at the hospital when her heart stops, the baby would be fine UNLESS the baby is already suffering from a serious medical condition.

3. Emergency c-sections are actually done fairly regularly to save a baby's life and/or mom's life...sadly, many more than you realize are because the mother has already died.

Two issues here, only administrators can review and delete question not conforming to terms.
As for two minutes clinically dead, there is zero evidence any brain damage or other complications of the fetus would be connected in any way. Many pregnant women arrive DOA after a serious trauma like a bad auto accident and the baby was saved and healthy. we are talking transportation times and after arrival at the scene.
Your friends baby would likely been born with this condition, irregardless the health or stability of the mother, that has happened.

I didn't realize this was placed in the psychology section this time.
