I was in the navy for 8 years. I sailed on both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
When we were out on the ocean, even if we had our stern to the land as we just left, the water curves forming an arch. Once far enough from land, that arch exists all around me.
From my vantage point, there is no doubt that the earth is not flat.
Please explain what I saw.

Your observations don't disprove Flat Earth. You might as well argue that people starving in Africa is a myth because you saw a McDonald's in the terminal at Cairo Airport.

Not a flat earther, but what do waves forming an arch have to do with anything? You can see the same phenomenon on any lake, which is pretty damn flat.
