Luk 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother,
and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also,
he cannot be my disciple.

this would break the 10 commandments.
something is clearly wrong.

the word is miseo (it means to love less)

love is endless.
our love for our parents differs than our love for a mate.
but you can have both certainly. (you must)

ALMIGHTY GOD is our first parent.
HE is our parents "parent" as well.

we are all HIS children.
we all belong to HIM.

The keyword is "until", which is not used in Greek in the same way it's used in English.

The Greek word means "up to this point", and does NOT suggest a change after that

For example, we can say, "He was estranged from his brother and didn't talk to him till he died."
