At work we got some names of kids in need to buy Christmas presents for. One kid asked for a "Nabi 7", but we are having trouble finding one at a good price. What are other alternatives?

WalMart sells on line a good Android tablet for about $50 - $70. Android is simple to use and he can use it for all he needs. But be sure to get a padded case in case he drops it. I got one for my digitally challenged wife. She uses it all the time in her service activities.
