Do I need a new sound card?

I have sound blaster live 5.1 for my dell optiplex gx270 I tried to install the driver for, but it says the system cant detect it it sits in the motherboard, also can I use S/PDIF optical adaptors for the Digital Out?

sorry mate. Get a new computer. GX270 is ancient and win 98se is long since supported.
