Which Fallout is the best?
I am pondering 2, 3 or 4. I did hear you can adopt a child, is that only in one? Can you have a dog?

My personal favorite is Fallout 3 because I liked the setting the best. However I love New Vegas and 4 as well. The longest Fallout game with the most content is 4. Those are the only 3 titles I’ve played though. You can’t go wrong with any of them though. I recommend them all.

I found three to be my favorite. Two is the retro, third person turn based format. Good for storyline, one I've always found hard for combat. Three was the reboot and leaps above that, so maybe that's why I liked it so much. Beautiful scenery, good game play. Las Vegas didn't appeal to me, for some reason. Fallout 4 I only played through once, and while the setting and scenery was nice, the drive behind the story just wasn't there for me. The settlements were a nice touch at the start, but I'm too functional to make them all pretty.
