20HP Kohler Engine?

I have a 6 year old 20HP Ariens lawn tractor with a Kohler 20hp engine that needs to be replaced. Would the 20hp engine in the Cub Cadet be the same? Meaning it could technically be pulled from one and installed in the other?

Yes as long as the shafts are the same size it does not matter what brand the engine is. You might have to modify the mounting points but as long as the engine fits in the area provided and the shafts are the same size it will work.
