Can I quit my fast food job and come back part-time when school starts?

Question

So it's currently summer time and I just got hired at a warehouse and the pay is good. It's $11.00 an hour and it is for 10 hours for 4 days a week. My fast food I only work 5 hours and get paid $7.75 an hour for 3 days. I just got hired at the fast food restaurant and it's my 3rd week into the job and I want to quit for the summer and comeback when school starts. Do you think it's possible if I tell my manager? I need to make fast money for college but at the same time I don't wanna tire myself working 2 jobs a once.

They won't hold a job for you but MAY allow you to return if you give 2 weeks notice and have been a great employee and they have an opening.

They are not going to guarantee you ca come back.  They might let you apply, on an equal footing with any other applicants.

Just be truthful with the manager - you have an opportunity to make more money for college.  There are no guarantees anyway that a job will be available in the fall.
