Why do people get married so early?

Like some people would marry someone in just 8 months time or a year. REALLY? I would assume 2 years, my personal feeling is 3 years into a relationship before marriage. Your first year you are just getting to know each other, and friends and schedule. 2nd year you get to know them more and their favorite songs and family. 3rd Year you get to know what tics them off and what their future plans are, at this point you would know if you really like them or if it was just lust. JUST SAYING, No wonder divorce rate are so high. What do you think?

it's takes you 2 years to know favorite song and family? WAYYYY TOOO SLOWWW.. all that comes out inside of 4 months easy. future plans by 6. after that it's reassuring yourself you want to be with the person for life. The trouble is most people do not know themselves at an early age and are not flexible enough for marriage, hence the high rates of divorce. you look back to the 50s and most people had very short courtships and very long marriages. back then people accepted the fact of marriage was more the norm than it is today. now a day people put up so much BS roadblock to get married because in effect they are selfish.

You have a limited number of three years before you're too old.
One year is good.

i think your analysis is dead wrong .. divorce rate is high because sex is treated like a transaction in this country and morality is treated as relative .. if MORE people married young without screwing 50 people and stayed monogamous the entire country would see an immediate boost in the economy and we'd have less troubled kids, welfare 'wards of the state', crime, and psychological disorders ..

A year is plenty, if you are open and honest with each other.
