It is illegal to resist an illegal arrest. Isn't this like saying it is illegal to defend yourself against tyranny? Is this a crazy law?
*side note- If "we the people" decide our own laws why do you think we allow this?

Don't confuse an arrest with a conviction in terms of of an arrest. People are arrested who "appear" to have committed a crime. The arrest would only be illegal is there was no reason to believe there is any probability that the person arrested committed a crime.

In my state, you can but the burden would be on you to prove it was illegal. I'm not aware of any attorneys that would tell you to resist. They will tell you to cooperate and take it up later.
That is because your resisting won't change a thing. Do you really think the officer is going to stop the illegal arrest because you object?
Athena
Yes, but that is why you need to work to CHANGE crazy laws.

No
Claiming you ave a right to assault an officer, rather than letting due process take its course is absurd. You aren't harmed by being forced to defend yourself in court.
