f(0) = 0^2 + i = i
f(i) = i^2 + i = -1 + i
f(-1 + i) = (-1 + i)^2 + i = 1 - 2i + i^2 + i = 1 - 1 - 2i + i = -i
f(-i) = (-i)^2 + i = -1 + i
We know what f(-1 + i) is, so we have an infinitely alternating sequence of -i , -1 + i , -i , -1 + i , -i , ....
So yes, i is part of the Mandelbrot Set.
