Please, do your own homework, I’m begging you. We have enough ignoramuses in this country. If you want proof, look at who’s President.

Which Bush? Which war?

Ten Things You Need to Know About Iraq

So what the hell is the Iraq war all about? I have listened to the media, scholars and politicians fantasize their realities most of which are completely debunkable. So who are these people? Some are partisans playing to populist political frenzies in the hopes of advancing their own careers. Others are micro analysts and some are jingoists and then some are just plain nuts. I’m just a guy with a computer that decided to think this war through and point out a few things others might have missed.

I guess we all know ulterior motives are their reasons. Hell they aren’t smart enough to cleverly disguise them with real facts. Anyway, Al Qaeda and its surrogates have always been in Iraq. The violence and mayhem in Iraq is only partly due to Al Qaeda. The majority of violence is perpetrated by sectarian forces and surrogate interventions coming from Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia and other radical Islamic states. The fact that Al Qaeda is being destroyed and engaged in a battle they cannot win is ignored or manipulated by detractors and surrenderist’s and then labeled as losing strategies for political gain as they count dead GI’s and Marines, almost gloatingly as the push for early withdrawal . You got to wonder about that?

We should be reminded everyday of the costs of this war, in lives and human tragedy. I oppose war but I hate tyranny, injustice and failure even more. That’s always been the American way.

One more thing before start; I won’t attempt to defend mistakes, this is not about mistakes it’s about a bigger picture of the war in Iraq and its regional strategic importance. These are the premises under which the war should have been fought.

The reality is;

1. It was never a war for Oil

If it really were a war for oil it would be the dumbest war ever fought against the wrong nation. Here is a list of the top 50 oil producing nations in the world. Iraq isn’t even in the top ten. Surrenderist’s need to find a real mantra instead of ghosts and insane claims. Maybe they like high gas prices because it makes them feel better about buying hybrid cars and saving the world from global warming.

2. Americans hate losers and will stand up for mult-national or unilateral military intervention to stop terrorist even if that terrorist happens to call himself a dictator head of state.

Let’s see, does anyone remember France for anything except losing? America will not accept defeat in Iraq or elect a politician to the office of President that promotes it. Listen carefully, Never! (Obama changed this)

The American people are stronger and more resilient than being portrayed by the American media and the left. Americans will not only support the military they will reject appeasement and disengagement and instead see it for what it is; weakness and surrender costing more in lives and resources to deal with in the future if we leave prematurely.

3. Bush didn’t lie…you just didn’t listen.

The war had very little to do with 911 except that it was incidental to a crisis which placed Iraq and its tyrannical regime in the bulls eye. What responsible president could allow any nation state to ignore UN resolutions and thwart weapons inspections with the reality presented by 911 and with Saddam basically thumbing his nose at the world? Enforcement was the prudent action then and now. You idiots that are worried about a war with Iran imagine this, a war with a nuclear Iran after they dropped one on your stupid heads. Saddam clearly had lied about its chemical weapons but in the end we didn’t find much.

4. The “candle mouth” strategy is working.

It’s drawing Islamic radicals and enemies of America into a battle on their own soil distracting their resources from attacking the free word. This is evidenced by the lack of successful attacks since 911 despite all the banter and threats from Al Qaeda and their surrogates in Iran and Syria. Radicals are being eliminated and the infrastructure of Islamic terror is being dismantled.

5. The United Sates has secured a base of operation in the Middle East adequate to engage any enemy in the region and influencing the regions resources and political destiny simply by its presence.

Obama changed this. We have now retreated from a position of strength to one of weakness.

6. The oil resources of Iraq are no longer available to the dictator that would destroy his neighbors and create anarchy in the region.

The oil revenues once handed out freely by Saddam to terrorists are no, longer available to them. Instead it’s being used to rebuild Iraq and feed its people. The Obama retreat has left this in doubt.

7. The message of American resolve is loud and clear to the Arab world despite panty wasted liberal surrender advocates and foreign intervention designed to derail American policy objectives in the world for their own benefit. Abandoned by Obama.

8. The stage has been set for the ultimate destruction of Arab/Islamic dictatorships and with that the redistribution of Arab and Islamic wealth and power culminating in the destruction of the root cause of Islamic terror…..religious tyranny, poverty and ignorance; giving rise to Arab independence and the spawning of democracy. Screwed up by Obama.

9. If we leave today we will be back again…soon.

Iraq will prove to be a painful but valuable effort. Saddam killed more Iraqi's at a faster pace than the war in Iraq did. A stable Iraq is a counterbalance to extremism in places like Iran and Syria. Look, Obama is making it happen.

10. America learned how to nation build in WW2 and it learned that total victory is the only way to avoid a perceived loss in Vietnam.

The long term occupations of Japan, Germany and South Korea have shown the effectiveness of a long term “occupy and hold” strategy in stabilizing entire regions. In war you are either all in or all out, there is no half assing or rolling the dice with an under built plan or quitting too soon.

Finally for the remaining doubters that think it was only one American President that caused the pain in your head I offer the following. I suspect we will here future presidents saying similar things about Iraq again someday. I was right about this
