Was I right with dealing with this situation?

So I have been editing this girl for a while and I really like her, but there are a few things about her that really piss me off. She is a huge hypocrite. We have been trying to have a more modest and godly relationship and whenever I see a friend from my high school years she questions who I used to be and says that she is glad that me and those people dont hang out anymore. So I made it a point to tell her that though my friends might be a tad off, they were nothing compared to her friends d who are on the fast track to becoming either alcoholics or put in jail before they even turn 21. Well I made it a point to tell her that I didn't appreciate that she holds me to high expectations but when it comes to her friends, she goes and does stupid stuff with them. Finally I just told her that if she wanted to be with me she could associate herself with that toxicity more, or we can break up and she can do whatever she wanted. Was in right in doing this?

This was an incredibly minor disagreement. People who care about each other and respect each other could have easily resolved it without escalating to ultimatums and threats. This isn't a healthy relationship, or a "godly" one. Cut to the chase and break up. She isn't going to give up her friends for you and will dump you soon anyway.

I think you making that point to her was wise becuase you're sticking up for yourself and not allowing her to think you can be easily controlled. However, I think you kind of lashed out a bit,and I think there were better ways of communicating your feelings. I personally think you guys are better apart. Date a girl who is going to be supportive and wants the best for you, becuase it makes no sense to date one who over analyzes you.
