why are cowards allowed to answer Anonymously yet the asker cannot erase them ?

Why do people repeatedly post stupid questions on Yahoo? I suspect you ask a stupid question, you get a stupid answer. I don't need you following me around the board. It's that simple.

You appear to think you're the moderator. You decide who can and who cannot answer your "questions." I think you're mistaken.

For the same reason users can answer without using the Anon feature and the asker can't "erase" them. It takes someone with a high trust rating to be able to get a post removed by reporting it without other users reporting it also. If you're referring to blocking users, you can block them IF the system is sending out notifications to alert you to your question getting new answers (the Anon user's YA identity is included in the notification emails). If you don't get any notification emails, then you can't block the user but you can still report any answers that are violations (and should do so).

Because freedom of speech is about protecting the speech you most disagree with. (If you agreed with the speech it would not have to be protected).

If someone gives you an insulting non-answer, you can report it for violating the community guidelines. If enough members report that answer, it will be removed.

Yahoo makes the rules not us users. According to them (and the user agreement) all content on this site is THEIR property not ours. I don't like that, but it is what it is.
