In club volleyball (juniors), how do Regional Championships work? Are the matches random? Or is there a method? By rank?

There’s a method. It’s not random. Teams are seeded (ranked) based on several things (not just their win/loss record). Things like the past performance of the club (some cubs are more competitive), they types of tournaments the team played at (some tournaments are harder then other)and things like that.

So the fist day is pool play where top seeded teams are in the same pool as lower seeded teams. Teams in the middle are in pools with other teams in the middle. The brackets for the next day are based on how the teams finish in the pools....Show more
