How do you feel about being an organ donor?

Honestly, I think it is a very brave thing to do. It's very selfless, and people are saved by organs that have been donated. I don't think I'll ever sign up to be one, though, because I'm scared, and I don't have that courage... But I have so much respect for people who do choose to be organ donors. You all are the real heroes of the world.

I know that, Janet. I'm not stupid. Oh yeah! :et's take out your organs while you're alive and kill you in the process!

I feel fine about it, that's if they can find anything useful, if so, then so be it.

I've signed up to donate everything. It doesn't mean you are losing anything, infact, parts of you are going to live on instead of being burned or eaten away by insects and decay.

Ew. No.

Afterwards did you know they started using cadavers for sex education? I can't think of a more degrading way to donate my remains. Plus, what's left of you... gets cremated and put in the campus rose bushes.

No donations for me, thank you. UNLESS, it was for family.

you can actually donate some organs while still alive kidneys for example you really only need 1 to live if you are healthy but it does come with risks and cons as well i am sure.

as for being an organ donor as long as you are genuine about your decision then idc. it's your organs you can decide if you want to donate them or not. i say this because i remember going to the DMV to get my drivers license and they asked if i wanted to be an organ donor and i checked no and the person helping me laughed under her breath.

i am okay with being a organ donor and now am at the time i wasn't because i was a heavy smoker and i still am but if they can use it then use it. i honestly feel bad for people that need some sort of medical donation be it money or body parts. my mom passed away last month from leukemia she lost hope early on in her search for a bone marrow donor but luckily later on shortly we found a donor. she passed away because the hospital didn't want to admit her and her leukemia got worse very fast. so in a sense my family blames the hospital for not admitting her and causing her death.

she was very happy after they found her donor though she wrote a thank you letter and even wanted to fly the donor out here to Hawaii and thank them personally. she was a giving person as well she actually donates money to ASPCA and i know she donates to other various things as well such as homeless people at the park we walk our dogs at she would donate food to them all the time or christmas gifts they could use like new clothes, food, water, etc..

I would not mind donating bone marrow. Not sure if I would be medically eligible to donate a kidney though.
