Can I cancel a pledge of money made over the phone?

A "pledge" is probably simply a statement of your intention. But if you have already given your bank details or card details etc, then it might be hard to get the money back if the money has already been taken from your account. You would probably need to contact the organisation to which you have given the money.

Just tell your credit card not to accept the charge
