Why is depression so hard to get rid of?

Because people don’t treat it the right way. There are many people who aren’t helped with medication, but they don’t think to look into alternative treatments - just to try different drugs, which doesn’t always work.

It’s not that hard to get rid of (or at least manage and minimize) if you actually use your mind to come up with positive goals for yourself, change your way of thinking, make changes in unhealthy lifestyle choices, etc. That’s what therapists are there for - helping you to do that. Depression does take a lot of work to beat, but it can certainly be done and takes a lot more than a magic pill from a doctor.

Because drug companies exist to make profits. If they can keep a course of treatment going for twenty years, for something which aromatherapy can cure completely in hours, then you will be taking their tablets for twenty years! And nobody will ever tell you that aromatherapy can completely cure depression within hours. Profits before humanity, in every possible situation.
