I love old Victorian-era books with cloth covers and impressed bindings and covers. Some are very ornate. A few books were still made this way into the 1920s but sadly the practice died out. There are some vinyl imitators but these fall far short.

I'm pretty sure most people read real books and not ebooks.

I never understood the whole "smell of books" thing. They don't smell like anything to me. I just prefer paper books because they are easier to handle and it's much easier to find a specific page. You just open it more or less in the right place and go from there. With an ebook it's a mission to navigate.
And books don't need to be charged. No batteries

I prefer a print book, but as I get older, paperbacks are harder to read, so I don't buy them any more. When a book I really want to read is not available in hardcover, I get the ebook.
