Should media use alarmist language when talking about global warming?

The Guardian has updated their style manual:

Instead of “climate change” the preferred terms are “climate emergency, crisis or breakdown” and “global heating” is favoured over “global warming”....

They can use what they like. Is there any imminent emergency?

Dirac's Van: A Poem of Perversion

Dirac stocks up
On plenty of candy
For luring the kids
It sure is handy

But he got busted
During Trick or Treat
Luring every kid
With every sweet

Dirac was now
In quite a pickle
He said with a sigh
Those kids are fickle!

But Dirac escaped
And ran from the law
He went back home
Moved in with his ma

She gave him her car
He called it his own
He'd lure more kids
Away from his home

Dirac then called
Kids from his car
Lured them in
With a candy bar

But the car had windows
Dirac couldn't hide
He knew he had to get
A new kind of ride

So he went down the street
And stole a large van
He'd now be discreet
This Candy Man

But the parents then asked
Who's that man?
Giving kids candy
From the back of his van

And the kids smarter than Dirac
They foiled his plan
When the perv opened his door
They all took off and ran

Dirac at all of his candy
Emitting plenty of gas
Cause you just can't win
With your thumb up your asss
