Bad pride is when you think you are superior to others.
"Good" pride is when you take some credit for the accomplishments of others. Sometimes people say they are proud when they only mean they are self-confident, without envy or the putting down of their rivals.

The word "prideful" is very rarely used, except in the context of particular religious communities with rather strange notions about personal pride and similar. In the vast majority of the population in Britain the word "prideful" is never heard, and possibly the same applies to the USA etc.
Indeed some people might say "I am glad I can do it". People are generally "proud of" what other people can do, especially of what their children can do or of what their trainees can do if they are sports coaches and similar.

Everyone who is proud says "I am proud of (something or someone)." I have no idea why you think only "good prideful people" say it. What, according to you, do "bad prideful people" say - "I am proud of (nothing or no one)"?
