Start with your budget in mind and go from there. Look at every gaming laptop on the market (there aren't that many). Review the features.

Sadly, if you're looking for an elite laptop, you need to spend an elite amount of cash. You could find decent ones in the Nitro series from Acer for a reasonable amount but the elite laptops are in excess of $2000.

You might want to take a look add a Dell precision m4500. That has an i7 with a 2.8 GHz processor and 8 gigs of RAM and a solid state drive you can find them on eBay for about 250 to $300 it has a 1-gig built-in graphics card. That might serve your needs.
