I'm a senior in college, back home for the summer, and my bf and I want to go to a theme park near my house. He lives about 6 hours away and to avoid hotel feels, I was thinking he could stay in our guest room. How should I go about asking my dad who doesn't even know about him yet? This is my first relationship and I'm nervous to ask.

Your dad can hardly expect you never to have a boyfriend! Ask him about his first girl friend - and ask him about your mother's first boyfriend. No need to bring sex into it. Just explain the situation and he should be reasonable about him sleeping in guest room - or maybe if dad won't perhaps your boyfriend can stay with a neighbour.
I can tell you this won't go over well for two reasons
1) Fathers are creepy obsessive/jealous over their daughters- He will be jealous of this other guy, and will tell you that you can't have sex with him and he will do it under the guise of "I'm doing this to protect you" mantra
2) Its his house, I highly doubt he will like a stranger spending the night without knowing who he is. I can't say I blame your Dad for that, I woudn't feel comfortable with some unknown dude sleeping my house, capable of god knows what.
I wouldn't even try asking him, because we both know it won't end well! You guys can easily rent a hotel room for the night, I'm sure you both can afford it, and I think that's your safest option. If you want your boyfriend to sleep over in the future, I strongly advise you introduce him to your parents first and let them get to know him, as opposed to saying "oh hey dad I'm dating this guy you don't know, can he sleep over?".
