What's all the fuss about the extradition bill?

I dont understand the fuss about extradition bill being opposed by the people of Hong Kong.

Isnt it good to send bad criminals to China?

Yes, for real criminals in the sense of mafia and racketeering. But the fuss is because the extradition bill apparently would allow Beijing to extradite any citizen who appears to oppose the strong central government of China. Hong Kong never was communist, and there are a lot of people there who hate the communist government centralized in mainland China.

The concern is that they will accuse people of false or silly crimes to throw them in prison. 'Oh, you spit on the ground, lock them up.' Their conviction rate is 99.9%, so either they are VERY good at only arresting guilty people, or they convict a lot of innocent people in order to silence them.
