When using long tale keywords for SEO do i have to put it exact or can i break it up into individual words?

Im working on SEO for mywebsite and I am unsure about something that I am hoping somebody can give me an easy answer to.

Lets say I have a collection of Officially Licensed Wonder Woman Merchandise and after doing the key word research it looks like the keyword with the most monthly searches is Wonder Woman Accessories. Do I have to use "Wonder Woman Accessories" exactly or can I use "Wonder Woman Apparel and Accessories" because that describes the collection more accurately and it just sounds better.

It's actually "key phrases" meaning you should combine the words in different ways that make sense, making a set of different key phrases. The more the better.

Both of those terms are acceptable. You should mix them up for example. Yahoo SEO or SEO Yahoo will bring up different results. Same as what you mentioned above. Long tail keywords are great for SEO and Local SEO and good for ranking your page. They are usually less competitive then short keywords.

I would suggest using both and other relevant terms.

A long-tail keyword is just a key phrase. You don't need to put it on exactly. If you make a good sense while without putting your exact keyword on a keyphrase thats sounds good than exact keyword

It would be great if you are using a tool in finding out for the best and relevant keywords for your website and actually, you can use tools like ahrefs, find relevant and with monthly search as for long-tail keywords you can actually break it and learning from the best seo companies like the one included in here: https://www.topseos.com/rankings-of-best-seo-companies

When using long term phrases, exact match is always the best way, however the algorithms will pick up partial matches. As the other reply states, blending the keywords into content gives you more options and will also increase your keyword density. Just don't go mad with the keyword and overpopulate.
