Dealing with the stigma of mental illness can be difficult. It is good that you were there to help your mom. Mental-health professionals can treat many mental-health disorders successfully. Treatment may include talking to trained mental-health professionals who can help her understand her illness, resolve practical problems, and reinforce the need not to give up the treatment. At such consultations, you can play a vital role by providing reassurance and support. Be assured that many people have learned to deal with mental disorders after acquiring a better understanding of their condition and following the treatment prescribed by mental-health professionals. The Bible does not indicate that spirituality cures medical problems. Many people with mental disorders have gotten much comfort and strength from what the Bible teaches. The Bible assures us that our loving Creator is keenly interested in consoling those who are “brokenhearted” and “crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18). The Bible is not a health-care book but it provides practical guidance that can help in coping with painful emotions and distressing circumstances. The Bible can also give hope for a future when life on earth will be free of illness and pain. (Isaiah 35:5, 6). www.jw.org

Often times, a person needs to switch therapists before finding one that they're comfortable with. Perhaps you should find a new therapist.

well, with your kind permission , it sounds to me she needs to be and stay - for the time being - under treatment and observation of a psychiatrist - as an inpatient ( in hospital) at least in the short run....yes.

That is very sad. Do you have a question?

Some people are born with certain mental illnesses that are not curable, like genetic diseases. What type of therapy has she been receving? I hope a psychiatrist, for he or she is the only one able to give her drugs to alter her brain functon. I suggest you go to therapy too, for only an experct can give you the right advice.
