Is this decade (2010-2019) the worst for for the Rock genre?

I feel like the 80 s, 90 s and 2000 s were the best for the Rock Genre. Coming in waves, we had iconic artists. New and old artists had awesome albums flooding in, from all sorts of sub-genres.

Examples of some awesome Giants (in my opinion) would be...
- Avenged Sevenfold, Blink-182, Breaking Benjamin, Bullet for my Valentine, Coheed and Cambria, Crossfade, Daughtry, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Lifehouse, 3 Doors Down, Evanescence, Gorillas, Greenday, Journey, Kamelot, The Killers, Linkin Park, Muse, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, Red Jumpsuit Aparatus, Killswitch Engaged, Nightwish, The Fray, Five Finger Death Punch, Bon Jovi, Guns n Roses, AC/DC... and a bunch more

And if any of these or other artists are still around... their music has become sub-par.

Yea sure there, are always exceptions like Bastille, Panic at the Disco, and a few more but nothing near the same capacity.

You guys know any other Artist of this Decade that can compete?

Not sure about that. The 1640s weren't very good for rock music.

I tend to think it all works out in a flat line. If we're talking about sort of popular awareness then I will give you that, but if we're talking about quality of the product it feels to me like all decades are more or less the same. There are some great top tier records, some terrible, terrible records and a bunch of stuff in the middle. Because of diminished popularity you may have to work a little harder for the gems now than you may have had to in the 80s or 90s, but I think that is made up for having so much deeper of a pool to draw from thanks to the internet. As it's always been I'm much more worried about having time to try out all of the stuff that I'm interested in than struggling to find something interesting to check out.

We have different tastes, but there is a ton of stuff that I really dig from the present day. Bands like Herzog, Wye Oak, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Speedy Ortiz, Grizzly Bear, Shearwater, Ex Hex, Swearin, Hop Along, etc.

How come you miss out Maiden, Metallica and a whole host of others who still cut it?

Well duh. Rock died in the 2010s. Now it's all about rap and pop.
