I failed a class and gave to go to summer school... please read for full situation?
I used to live in the US and in my 8th grade year I took algebra and ended up passing. That summer I moved to Montréal, and this year in 9th grade I had the same class which I ended up failing. My report card says I have summer school, but the thing is I already took the same class the previous year and passed. Am I able to get out of summer school by showing proof that I took that class in The US and passed? Or am I forced to go to summer school for a class I already took and passed?

I say dropout and follow what you really want man because SCHOOL IS A WASTE OF TIME and if you really were feeling school then you wouldn't have failed and I know I'll get alot of hate for this but besides teaching you the basics like 2+2 and spelling, school is nothing but depression bullying and Pain so save yourself from the real failure which is staying in school man.
If you had to retake it when you changed systems, it usually means they didin't recognize the course you took. Sort of make sense if you think about it. You supposedly passed it one year but the next, you fail the same course? Anywho, systems have different rules and such and the only one that can answer your question, is the system you are in.
You are going to have to talk to someone at the school. They are the only ones who will know what is required for you to graduate. Quite frankly, if you already took the course and didn't get that figured out the whole year, I would say it is likely that you would need summer school.
