I have been Facebook Jailed?
This morning I was on Facebook as I often am overnight when it is too dark to read. I posted to a comment on the a news feed and evidently, the person did not like what I wrote. "[Person s name] like Trump you take a comment out of context to try and make yourself look good. They whom? The white males born in the USA who commit mass shootings? Burn churches?" The post was to a news posting regarding the FBI thwarting a Syrian plan to bomb a church in Philadelphia. The comment to which I was referring was the person saying, "Some people did something" taking Ilhan Omar s quote out of context. When I finally found a place to contact Facebook I sent this," For reasons I do not understand, I have been blocked from Facebook. I posted the following comment on the Fox News feed, "Brenda Ones Katz like Trump, you take a comment out of context to try and make yourself look good. They whom? The white males born in the USA who commit mass shootings? Burn churches?"
In retrospect, I was a little harsh with the first sentence and I do not normally speak that way. I hid behind the relaxed anomity of Facebook. I do not normally speak that way, on line or in person. I do not feel as though my words violated Facebook rules and guidelines and that the person I was addressing did not like what I had to say and retaliated by blocking me. I have been an active member of Facebook for about ten years without any problems, either with what I post or with Facebook policies." I also tried sending it via the block message. Evidently I am still blocked. Is there a way I can break free? Facebook is about alli do on-line. Well, I actuality use the app on both my phone and laptop/tablet.
On the plus side, I realize that I spend too much time on Facebook. When I feed my six-month-old, I will have to find something else, or read even more if the lighting is good. (I might go to the dollar store and finally get a headlamp to read at night). I might even finally download Hoopla and the Ohio Digital Public Library so I can read at night. I won t have an excuse to ignore some of the clutter spots in my house...
Thank you for reading my babble and any help you might give.
