Munich Germany car rentals for people under 25 (will be 24) that don’t charge an arm and a leg.?

I am going to Munich Germany next June and will only be 24. I turn 25 June 30th. Anyways what car rental companies do not charge an arm and a leg underage fees? I see you can rent a car of 16 euros but then there is a 21 euro fee for being underage. Is there a company that doesn’t do this in Germany?

I doubt there are any - when we rented in Austria, we had to leave a huge deposit, in cash. And we are far from the age you are/will be. Annoyingly when we returned the car (in A1 condition) we were told we'd not be repaid the deposit in cash, but it would be put into our account....... too bad as we needed that money right away, and expected it!

None of them. Younger people are a higher insurance risk.

Use public transport instead, it's quite good in Germany.

I doubt it. And keep in mind that the rental cars at the lower end of the price range are almost guaranteed to be manual transmission, not automatic.

Anyways (which is not a word, BTW), no one wants to rent to the age group that has the most accidents. That's why you have to pay a premium. Delay your trip until you're 25, or pay the premium.

I'm surprised you can even find that. In the US, you can't find any car rental company that rents to people that young. When I went to Spain when I was 23, it was the same there.
