Im looking to adopt either a female golden retriever or yellow lab. I live in montreal and i dont know where to go to find these kind of puppies. I went to the spca and they dont have puppies. Are there any trusted breeders in montreal?

If you want to adopt a dog, instead of buying from a breeder, then sometimes you cant be so picky.
You may have to be open to another type of dog, or be open to considering something a lil older.
Young puppies of highly desired breeds dont show up in shelters often, and when they do, they get adopted quickly. Consider a different color too.. A black lab mix is much more likey to be found than a yellow one.
Consider a male instead of a female. Many people prefer females because of the stigma that males mark and hump.. But reeality is that females can hump and mark too. Its a behavior that takes training.
That or you may have to be patient and keep looking if you have your heart set on something so specific.
Try petfinder.com to find other shelters and rescues in your area, as well as adoptable dogs (not all shelters and rescues have the resources to constantly update their petfinder page, so some may have dogs and puppies that are not listed!)

You don't need this World Wide Web to find something right there where you are. You could just google your question, your could look up the breed specific rescues. like look for, 'What is the best way to find puppies to adopt in montreal?'
If you don't have the money to buy a well bred dog you can find pups all over if you do your research on how to find what you want.
Why do you need us, when you just need to look locally & not World Wide. Narrow down your research to local places. Someone in the UK could find what you are looking for but you are local & you know more about your area than any of us.
