cell phone line and porting out a number?
I have a 8 line family plan, a family member is getting his own plan and porting out his number.
The sale rep told me that porting out his number also canceling line.
I want to keep the line for someone else.
Sale rep told me that we could activate a new number for a fee for this line right now... but I am concern that doing so would lose the number that is about to be ported out before the porting out occur.
Sale rep told me that even though the ported out number is out there, noone would be able to pick it up..... from my experience, I don't really trust sale rep, they say anything to make a sale.
could someone confirm this?
