Why does my new laptop battery have flucuating mAh?

My recently installed, new, laptop, battery, instructed me to bring it down to 3-5% three times, in order to condition it. It is rated at 2,600 milliamp-hours (mAh). During the first two conditionings, if you will, it barely reached that level. After the recent, third, conditioning, it is reading over 3,000 mAh, according to BatteryInfoView, a freeware program. Then, after allowing it to recharge, it went down to 2,400. Why are there such differences between the mAh ratings?

The battery capacity can only be accurately estimated if you remove the battery, fully charge it and then fully discharge it with a known load outside of the laptop. If you try to do using software running on a laptop it will give only approximate results due to the fluctuating loads which are inevitable when you run a laptop.

It's likely the processor speeding up to make the laptop more responsive.

If you wanted, in the power profile that you use in windows, you could restrict the cpu to max 1%, that way it will always be at the slowest speed.

Also when you start browsing the wifi will wake up from whatever standby mode it will have been on.

Upto 11 hours usually means min brightness no wifi, just sitting there doing nothing useful, sometimes even with the screen closed.
