I haven't written a story for $25 since 1988. Also, that's far too many characters for a short story! Jason, Hercules, Castor and Pollux are plenty. So I'll give you an opening sentence. "After Athamas, Ino, Nephele, Phrixus, Cadmus, Aestes, Pelias, Medea, and Orpheus were all killed in a commuter train accident, Jason and three friends went looking for his birth certificate, possession of which was going to let him claim his inheritance."
