Stanley mitre box dating?
I got an old Stanley 246 mitre box with a Disston saw and was wondering how old it is. The only branding on it is the plate on the front dial and Stanley stamped in the saw guides. I can’t find any patent stampings anywhere on it and I can’t find anywhere online that says how old this one is. Every other 246 I see has the plate on the side and not the front like mine, I’ve read that it could be anywhere between 1905-1984 which is quite a big time span. If it helps in dating it the wood is painted orange
