Will a dog start acting like a cat if it lives with one?

I suppose it depends what you consider to be dog/cat-specific behavior to begin with. That being said, animals of any species can certainly act outside what one would consider the norm, especially if they are persuaded or have any instinctual or associative reason to do so.

My most recent kitten that I adopted when she was only a 10 week old, palm-sized, "wittle nugget" (as my vet would say), enjoys playing fetch (typically considered a dog trait). She is now 6 months and still loves it. This was learned through no training and with no other animal interaction (besides humans—myself, mostly).

Other, more easily explained, "dog-like" traits she currently posses:

-tearing up only important papers ("my dog ate my homework")

-waiting for me to come back (whether it's after I leave for work, waiting in between the shower curtains while I shower, etc.)

-scratching at the door (this started recently. if she can't open my bedroom door and I happen to be in there with it shut, she will begin whining and clawing at the door)

-kisses on the face (more or less explained by the tendency to show affection by grooming as they remember their mothers doing with them, but I haven't met too many kittens that regularly like to groom their human's beard and kiss their human on the lips, so that's going in the dog category lol)

I'm sure there are more that I am forgetting, but you get the idea.

In all honesty though, I'd say she acts more like a toddler than a dog. She's a handful.

When I had a dog and a cat it was the cat that behaved like a dog.
He would only go out for walks with the dog .. never on his own.

They may do, to some extent.

I knew someone a few years ago who had several adult cats and got a puppy.

It grew up with the cats as family and used to purr when happy or relaxed.
It sounded like a small truck engine running rather than a cats purr...

Only if it’s onr of those method actor dogs who is only living with the cat to get its character down for a movie in which it is playing a cat.
