How do guys handle liking the same girl as their closest guy friends? Add in the fact that some guys are super shy so they may not share who they like with their friends. What would they do in this situation? How would it affect it if one of them actually ended up dating the girl they both like? Does it affect their friendship?

There is no guarantee the girl would be willing to date either one of these guys. And I suppose that, if a guy is into a girl, he can ask her out on a date to see what she says. If he's too stupid to ask her out, it's his own fault.

Id say you bring up some great points to a good question.
Guys are shy and you are right they might not share with friends who they are fond of but, if they are good friends and a little outgoing they might be very verbal.
Overall both would have to make an effort.

So if they were good friends and mature they would know just that the girl picks and they can be friends.
I knew brothers and one really liked the girl and the other brother was fond of her as a friend. She visited often and usually was invited and played with the brother who was fond of her. After a couple years the older brother asked her to be his gf and she replied id rather be your brother's gf. The younger brother was shocked his best friend was now his gf. They are all family now.

If they like her because of her looks then their shallow, vain and wrong because looks are not a reason to like someone and you shouldn't and don't have to have looks for someone to like you.
