When the buyer gives you his or her money, you ship the product at the first available opportunity.

Who buys used laptops?? What are you getting for it 50 bucks?? Get your new one 1st, then sell your old one.

Once you have accepted payment I believe eBay requires you to despatch within 2 working days, so no it isn't smart and you would risk getting a claim against you or at the least negative feedback
