What should I do for my 19th birthday ?

Truth is I don’t what to do. I have a stable job so most of that stuff I end up buying for myself. This happens every year, I also feel as if 19 and mostly likely 20 is going to be pointless.

It's up to you isn't it? I can share what I did the summer I turned 20.

I toured northwestern Europe; England and Denmark. In London I met and pub crawled with Brian Donlevy, a class B movie actor (look him up). And later in Copenhagen I drank Tuborg beer in oblivion and met Hanna Forsman, a gorgeous Danish girl with whom I corresponded for a year.

Turning 21 the next year was even better. I flew and landed my first aircraft (on water in fact), met and dated Chris for over a year, and had my first legal carded drink paid for by the bar keeper. And on the day of my birthday, I also made a military beach landing off landing craft.

As you probably have guessed. I was in the military, the Navy in fact. Military life is never aimless and pointless. Maybe you should think about that. I'll confess that sometimes it's too exciting, but it's never boring.

I don't know where you live, but if you're in the USA anywhere near the Canadian border you could always go to Canada for a night out drinking.

Welcome to the world of adults. Why are birthdays supposed to be special? It's just another day. When you turn 21, treat yourself and your friends to a nice dinner and a few drinks.
