I wanted to apply for the Amazon Visa card but I mistakenly applied for the Amazon store card. If I cancel the Amazon Store card and apply for the visa, can I remove the Store card from my credit history?

No. Applying cannot be removed from your credit history for two years. If you received the card, then it stays in your history for at least 7 years, sometimes longer, even if you cancel. Even if you didn't get the card, the fact that you applied for it would stay in your history for 2 years, and cannot be removed sooner.

The inquiry will remain. You may be able to cancel the card. It may or may not show up as an account on your credit file.
