Are u supposed to use a Swiffer mop in bare feet?

Every time I see an ad or picture of someone using a Swiffer mop,they are always barefoot.Is there any particular reason for this?Are u supposed to use a Swiffer in bare feet?

Read the instructions they specifically say you must use in bare feet.
