I just got a kitten and she's scratched me a little. I have cat allergies just sneeze and itchy eyes. But not since I got my allergy shots ?

So I decided to get a cat no allergies since the shots. But I noticed when she scratched me they got puffy and itchy and I looked it up. There is a thing called cat scratch fever . And I'm really scared if I have it or not. I've been really tired lately at work and that's a symptom.  Hopefully not Corona tho 😬. But should I get this checked out I'm worried I have cat scratch fever

You're trolling right?
If not, you're worrying too much, you'll be ok. Cat scratches typically look like that. Just make sure to clean it, so it doesn't get infected.
Dr.Google can be a scary place lol.

Cat Scratch Fever is caused by a bacterial infection called Bartonella.  It's mostly found in hot and humid climates.  It's dormant in the cat and vets can test for it easily, although it's fairly rare outside of the south.  I had two cats who had Bartonella - one lived 12 years and one lived to be 16 years old.  We had him since he was a kitten and never contracted Cat Scratch Fever despite typical bites and scratches.

What you have looks like completely normal scratches.  Kittens have sharp claws, and itching and swelling is a normal part of your immune system's defense in cases of shallow wounds.  If you don't have a fever then don't worry.

All you had to do is wash it thoroughly as soon as it happened and then put some neosporin on it and a band aid. A cat scratch gets red and puffy on ANYONE if you don't wash it immediately. Cat nails have germs. So do human nails. Instead of jumping right to " I'm dying!" why not just take normal care of a scratch.
