A good quality survival knife. For obvious reasons. Cut things, gut and field dress caught fish and hunted animals, pry things, use the pommel as a hammer, etc.
Lots and lots of paracord. It can be used by itself as general purpose rope, can be braided together to support heavy loads, the inside cords can be removed and used as fishing line or animal traps, etc.
Thick plastic sheeting. It can be used to make a shelter more waterproof, capture / store water, use with rope to fashion a bag for carrying more supplies, etc.
