Pretty obvious -- people staying home, not buying, not working, businesses are failing without workers or customers, all of which seriously impacts the economy as a whole.

It won't crash in the short term but it's not sustainable for long. You might think most businesses are not necessary but they all pay tax and provide employment, well, they do if this doesn't go on much longer.
