Why don't I have the Facebook avatar option?

I'm in the US, and supposedly we all got the option to create new avatars. I have looked all over Facebook and Messenger, and there is no sign of this alleged avatar creator. So for now I'm a bald kid with a blue arrow on my forehead, because that's the closest I'm apparently gonna get. Why wasn't I deemed American enough to have an avatar?

Uninstall your Facebook app, and then reinstall.  The apps are all the same, so you should find it by tapping three lines on the taskbar, and then scroll to the bottom and tap "See More"....on mine, Avatars are at the top.

Its not Available for your Account yet Probably sometimes when Facebook comes out with new things they dont bring it to Every Single Account right away it takes time
