1;The pressure exerted on a 242 mL sample of hydrogen gas at constant temperature is increased from 4.71 atm to 7.15 atm. What will be the final volume of the sample? Answer in units of mL.

2;A gas at 54◦C occupies 4.54 L. At what temperature will the volume be 3.04 L, assuming the same pressure? Answer in units of ◦C.

3;A sample of nitrogen gas is contained in a piston with a freely moving cylinder. At 0 ◦C, the volume of the gas is 227 mL. To what temperature must the gasbe heated to occupy a volume of 543 mL? Answer in units of ◦C.

All are based on PV=nRT and since nR is a constant (in these problems):
PV/T₁ = PV/T₂  ((make sure you use °K))
Then insert known values and use a calculator.
SIGFIGS: #1. round answer to 3 digits, #2 round to 2 digits, #3 round to 1 digit

P1 * V1 = P2 * V2, substitute and solve for V2

P1 / T1 = P2 / T2, substitute and solve for T2

V1 / T1 = V2 / T2, substitute and solve for T2
