What is the best way to clean stainless steel appliances without leaving streak marks?

I’ve tried clearing stains less steel appliances with  a paper towel n water , with a chamois,  with a stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth and all of it left streak marks.  Please explain how to clean it properly once and for all

generally if a stainless steel cleaning product leaves streaks, you are using too much cleaner..often less is more.

I find Windex to be about the best thing to use. It sometimes takes to applications to get the surface really streak free.
