Does it sound like this guy may be regretting rejecting me?

Question

Basically last year my friend rejected me (claiming that it was due to having a secret long-distance relationship). He treated me horribly after that playing hot and cold and then eventually blocked me and ignored me but continued flirting with other girls in front of me.
Recently- I’ve had a big glow up and took on more hours at work therefore spending more time with him, he started then acting nervous around me and trying to look good for me, even daring to start a conversation with me trying to smooth things out but I continue to ignore him and give him no attention.
The other day I had to speak to him for work reasons (first time speaking to him in months due to COVID), he was extremely nervous and took forever to answer the phone but then was really nice, spoke softly to me and was super helpful, I couldn’t believe how nice he was to me. Opinions please I’m overwhelmed as I thought I was over him but I realise I still have feelings for him. It was confirmed also just before lockdown that he was sexually attracted to me now.

not enough details to actually give you a good answer on here. Seems like he likes the attention even lack of you give him, he knows you like him and it makes him nervous, he ignored you before why? could be anything, some guys like my father think you need to be very distant with a girl and text her like 1 or 2 word responses to get her. and me, i think being honest, real and very expressive is the way to go. just be straight forward is my advice. he was nervous and took forever to answer the phone, you don't want this answer but he could be not wanting to talk to you but had to for work reasons or he really could of been overthinking his attraction towards you or not wanting to make himself look bad to you, either way if you know h was nervous and taking foreever then it sounds like he was overthinking. just do you. if he wants you he will make it obvious in some way, or you could just end this whole thing  and realize you have 1 life and only exist in a small blimp in time, you will die one day, leave no stone unturned cause when you are 90 in your death bed you wont regret asking him out, you will regret the things you did not do. So ask him to chill sometime and see the response and you have your answer.
