What can American learn from British Policing?
Beside crowd control with tear gas and pepper spray or having unarmed patrol officers that actually know the community.
sorry that was to be"crowd control WITHOUT tear gas and pepper spray.

I'm not holding my breath, but I'd hope more Americans who talk about "unarmed British police" are aware that those are municipal-level officers and that heavily armed soldiers are rarely far away...
the message being.... of course... is that security is a STATE function and not a community or individual one... which then leads into the notion of "law and order"...
...nations where the people are raised to see themselves as subjects of the state tend to be more orderly than those, like the USA, where people are raised to see themselves AS the state...

American democrats oppose the use of tear gas, and pepper spray.
