I will go for Romeo & Juliet as it is the one I most relate to, we were childhood sweethearts(me 13 her 14) both set of parents dead against it(don't know how we got through those first few years) we stayed together 23 years had a daughter(she's amazing and smarter than me and her put together)
Shakespeare's influence is immense he is everywhere. I only just found out the US soap Dallas(reminds me of Mum & big Sis) is based on R&J(Bobby&Pam)ha haIn Hamlet when he says ''I am thy father's spirit'' is it his conscience or is it a ghost or is Shakespeare telling us we all turn into our Dad?You would be handy in a pub quiz team Shakespeare is everyone's(including me) achilles heel and he always crops up.

I definitely don't have a favourite genre - if I had to choose my Top 5 favourite Shakespearean plays, I'd say

Hamlet
Henry V
As You Like It
Twelfth Night
King Lear

There's comedy in most (if not all of his plays) - so maybe I find the comedic tragedies the best, for the most part? The tragedies that have humour, even if it's dark humour.

I think his history plays were best.  They weren't from an accuracy point, but they had very moving soliloquies & speeches.
